VOLUNTEER YOUR TIMEDo you have some extra time during the week, or just want to connect with your community? The Athens-Clarke County Libraries have a great volunteer opportunity waiting for you! Applications can be printed or filled out online. Completed applications can be accepted at the Circulation Desk in the Athens-Clark County Library. JOIN FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARYThe Friends are citizens who choose to help their local library. They are the "caring core" of libraries across the country. Operating with a self-elected board of directors, they serve as the connecting link between the library and the community helping communication flow in both directions.
DONATE TO THE ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY LIBRARY ENDOWMENT FUNDTo meet the needs of our community and the opportunities of tomorrow, the board of the Athens-Clarke County Library established the Endowment Fund to receive and administer contributions that benefit the library for the people of Clarke County and surrounding areas.SHOP AT THE LIBRARY STOREAll monies from sales made in the Library Store benefit the Athens-Clarke County Library. Visit the Library Store webpage for the store hours and to see featured items.DONATE USED BOOKS, MUSICAL CD'S, AND DVDSThe Athens Regional Library System accepts gifts of money, books, films, pamphlets, periodicals and the like with the understanding that the library may do with them as it sees fit. These items may be taken to any library for donation. The library staff will go through the items and determine if they can be used in the library. If they cannot be used in the library, they will go to be stored for the next Friends of the Library book sale.CONTACT YOUR LOCAL & STATE REPRESENTATIVESBecome an advocate for your library. Let your support of the library and its valuable services be known. Your comments to elected officials can make a difference.
