November ElectionTuesday, November 6, 2012, is the day of the General Election. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 is the last day to register to vote in the General Election. Voter registration forms are available at the Board of Elections, the Athens-Clarke County Tag Office, the State Patrol Office on Highway 29, and here at the library's Circulation Desk. Early voting will occur weekdays between October 15 - November 2, and Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Absentee ballots can be requested between September 21 - November 2, 2012. Absentee ballots must be received by the Board of Elections office no later than Election Day, or else they will not be counted. A pdf version of the sample ballot can be downloaded from the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections website. The Oconee River Conservation District covers Athens-Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, and Oconee counties. There are two Amendments to the Georgia Constitution on the ballot.
