Senior Cinema Gets a "Classic" Make-Over
Senior Cinema is now called Cinema Classics. We are showing described versions of classic films released from the 1930's-1970's.
Our next movie will be Thursday, July 5th at 2pm. We will be showing "Good News". Refreshments will be served.

2007 Georgia Council of the Blind Convention
The 2007 Georgia Council of the Blind Convention will take place from Thursday, July 26 to Sunday July 29, 2007. The location is the Marriot at Gwinnett Place in Duluth, GA. The keynote speaker is Michael Hingson. Michael and his guide dog, Roselle, escaped the World Trade Center attack on September 11th. New Descriptive Video Mailing Containers
The Special Needs Library has purchased some new red mailing pouches for our descriptive videos. Hopefully these will fit in your mailbox a little better.
Website for Macular Degeneration (MD) Information
MD Support is a comprehensive source for information on Macular Degeneration. You can read about new developments in treatment and research, find information on current clinical trials, map your blind spots, learn to train yourself to take full advantage of your peripheral vision and many more topics of interest to anyone with MD. Family Night at the (Described) Movies
The next Family Night at the Movies will be on Tuesday, July 24th at 6:00 pm in the Athens-Clarke County Library Auditorium. We will be showing "Pocahontas" from our described video collection.
Refreshments will be served.
Athens Transit Citizen Advisory Committee
The Athens Transit Citizen Advisory Committee meets on the 4th Monday of every month at 5 pm in the conference room of the Multi-modal Transportation Center. The Multi-modal Transportation Center is located at 775 E. Broad St. in Athens.
