Family Afternoon at the Movies
The next Family Afternoon at the Movies will be on Tuesday, March 25th at 4:00 p.m. in the Athens-Clarke County Library Auditorium. We will be showing the descriptive video "Chicken Little."
Blinded Veterans Association (BVA)
The BVA is an organization of veterans who have had vision loss and ONLY veterans of the U.S. military are eligible to join and utilize their services and programs. There are BVA Chapters in each State and they also divide their memberships into several regions that parallel the Veterans Administration's regional divisions.

The Job Accommodations Network (JAN) is not a job placement service; they do however, provide information on the American's with Disabilities Act and can give you job accommodation ideas. JAN is an information network and consulting resource that enables qualified workers with disabilities to be hired or retained.

Athens Council of the Blind
The Athens Council of the Blind meets on the fourth Saturday of every month at 11:00 a.m. in the conference room at Multiple Choices CIL at 999 Gaines Shool Rd in Athens. Come and join us!!!
Toll-Free Hotline For Air Travelers With Disabilities
The hotline will provide general information to consumers about the rights of air travelers with disabilities, respond to requests for printed consumer information, and assist air travelers with time-sensitive disability-related issues that need to be addressed in "real time." Effective October 1, 2006, the hours for the hotline are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday except federal holidays. Air travelers who experience disability-related air travel service problems may call the hotline at 1-800-778-4838 (voice) or 1-800-455-9880 (TTY) to obtain assistance.
Athens Council of the Blind Music Fundraiser
There will be a music fundraiser on Friday, April 11th from 7:00pm - 9:30pm at Little Kings which is on the corner of Hancock and Hull in downtown Athens. Performers include The Box Devils, The Vinyl Strangers and The Earlier Worms. You can call the Special Needs Library at 706-613-3655 if you need directions.
